Pashm, meaning ‘soft wool’ in Persian, and Vana, meaning ‘forest,’ draws inspiration from the serene landscapes of Kashmir, our homeland, where the warmth of the mountains meets centuries of tradition.

Crafted from the softest cashmere, wool, and pashmina, this collection embodies the essence of comfort and connection, blending artisanal craftsmanship with effortless wearability. Each piece carries the legacy of handwoven textiles, reinterpreted for the modern wardrobe while staying true to the art of slow, intentional design.

Inception

Growing up with my father’s Kashmiri family, I was surrounded by the most exquisite pashmina shawls. Each one unique, passed down through generations, embroidered with delicate stitches that told stories of time, love, and tradition.

These shawls weren’t just for warmth; they were heirlooms, worn like jewellery, a symbol of refinement and heritage. That sense of history, woven into the fabric itself, was something I always wanted to bring into my own designs - pieces that feel just as timeless and personal, but made for today’s world.

Pashm Vana was born from that feeling of nostalgia, of craftsmanship, of honouring the past while shaping the future.

Orchestration

 To create this collection, we worked with master artisans in Kashmir, sourcing the finest pashmina and cashmere from Changthangi goats.

Each thread is hand-spun, woven, and finished using techniques that have been preserved for centuries. The result is a fabric that is feather-light, yet incredibly warm, with a softness that only improves with time.

While pashmina is known for its delicate, airy refinement, cashmere offers structure and durability, making it ideal for everyday layering.

Both fabrics are incredibly lightweight and seasonless, designed to be worn across climates, effortlessly moving from crisp winters to cool summer evenings.

For this collection, we reinterpreted traditional weaves into fluid silhouettes, tailored separates, and versatile layering pieces, ensuring that each design retains the soul of its origins while embracing modern functionality.
